#this really epitomizes a lot of what i love about this movie that other people seem to hate #that the summer we see is only viewed through the image of her tom creates and so the way we view her shifts as his feelings for her do is really smart and honest and insightful i think #and yeah what he does is a dick move but i’m not gonna pretend like i haven’t built someone up in my mind and then soured on them when they didn’t conform to my imagined version of them before #and i’ve been given the MPDG treatment by a guy before so like i understand both sides of this bullshit?
